Touch My Breasts!

Once upon a time, one of my coworkers had a vision board. On it were several items like a white convertible BMW, a good job (which she currently had,) and boob job. She was a lovely girl with a wonderful personality, but a very flat chest. So she saved up and figured out she could use her FSA account to actually pay for a large portion of her surgery. She spent hours - many of them at work - checking out before and after photos online and selecting exactly the pair she wanted.

She had the surgery and came back, all bandaged up and a little sore. But she was so happy with her outcome. Since she'd had an odd upbringing and never had any boobs to speak of, her fellow female (all well-endowed) employees had to teach her about selecting bras, washing bras, and many similar topics. We also had a lot of fun shopping for her and gifting her with pretty, frilly new brassieres. She loved it and so did we.

Then her bandages came off. Since she'd never had boobs to speak of, her new chest felt like someone else's body. She had no shyness about letting other ladies feel her new breasts. It seemed odd to me but my experience was different so I wasn't in a position to judge. Perhaps because I'm also older and brought up much more conservatively, I never did take her up on her offer to touch her new implants. But I've seen similar scenes in movies, on TV and heard about such things in real life too so I wasn't surprised.

It's great that women can do something like this to enhance their self-image (discussions on why outer beauty makes us feel better about ourselves can wait for another day) and I'm happy to see the smiles on my friend's face. Just don't ask me to touch, please. It's not my thing.

Happy Mothers' Day!

We, the boob babes, used to all work together at a very male-oriented company in a fairly male-oriented industry. We became fast friends, eating lunch together almost daily, going from drinks and dinner after work, and there was one of those "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" weekends...

We are all mothers and we all agree that pregnancy and childbirth changes your breasts - not always for the best. Our kids are the light of our lives though, and we wouldn't trade them for anything. Even if you didn't give birth to a child, if you've mothered one, loved one, held a small hand, soothed a fevered brow, this is your day.

From all of us to all of you, we wish you a very happy Mothers' Day!

Breasts, Boobs, Hooters, Head Lamps...

We know there are a million different slang terms for breasts. What's your favorite one; which is your least favorite?

We're not asking just because we're curious; we believe that every one of us has a story to tell about our boobs. We invite you to share a laugh, a funny incident, a humorous event in your life or someone close to you to bring a smile to another woman's face. To encourage dialogue, we will ask leading questions like the one above and we'll incorporate a series of polls like the one lower on this page. Please vote in our inaugural poll.

So what IS your favorite slang term for your girls? What's your least favorite? Share with us!
